DEVIN:- How many guitars do you own and which is your favorite?around 30.......... they are like children so there is a revolving favorite always!- Will you be working on Avril's next record?i hope so- Do you have any plaques commemorating the albums you've worked on?yes. i am very proud of them- How did you meet Morrison?she was found by a producer i do lots of work with- What is your role in recording for Morrison?i am co writing the album and playing all the guitar- What kind of album genre is Morrison going to be?hard rock- What are you most looking forward to in 2009?everything- If you were to appear on the cover of Guitar World Magazine what would your headline say?a little bit of crazy --CHARLIE:- What was it like working with Evan on Kaya?Kaya was a blast. Working with Evan was great, we're such old friends that everyday was basically like a hangout. We definitely pulled some long days and had to be on our toes but when it came down to it, it was just a bunch of friends in a room making an album. That's the beauty of working with your friend in music. Although things can get stressful and crazy at times, when you boil it down, you're just in a room making music with your friends. It really was a great time start to finish.- Did you enjoy working with The Operation M.D.? Will you work with Cone and the guys on the next album?I actually only worked in the very first stages of that project, Cone needed to cut some drums while he was home for a bit and i had a studio in the area. Cone and Brann came down for a couple of days and we just knocked out some drums for a couple of songs. I've known Matt for years and i've seen Cone at random get-togethers and what not. They're both hilarious guys and great people to spend time with. You really can't go wrong with working with those two.- Whats the best thing about being a part of Big Evil?Well, like i said before, it's music and good friends. Any time you have the chance to work with good friends on something you love, you can't go wrong. It's being a kid and running a lemonade stand with your friends. Don't get me wrong, the projects are usually really intense, but all in all, it's great fun.- What are your plans for 2009?Well, i guess it's the same as every year. Just stick to what i love and work hard at it. I'm a big believer of investing in what you love. If you're a writer at heart, you need to throw your effort into that, don't become an accountant. I never saw the point in having someone work one job and dream about another all day. When i'm not in the studio or playing a show, I'm practicing bass, listening to music or hanging out and learning from other musicians. These are things i would do regardless of what job i had and do them because i'm a musician at heart and i love to do it. The point is, if you can make your job what you love, then you can actually enjoy what you do. I think once you achieve that, life becomes a pretty amazing thing.
